Speakers: Alies Maybee, Simon Hagens, BSc, MBA, Robyn Saccon, CHE, Dr. Ryan Wiley, Dvorah Richler, Betsy Nejat, BA(Hons), CAE

Sponsored by: Policy Modernization Group (PMG)

This session will involve a panel discussion with several members of the Policy Modernization Group (PMG), representing patients, industry, the public sector and the scientific community.

In 2022, “A World Class Health Data System for Canada: Framework for Action” was authored by members of the Policy Modernization Group (PMG) to support the recommendations of the Pan-Canadian Health Data Strategy’s Expert Advisory Group.

The paper advocates for the creation of an optimized and world-class health data system in Canada by highlighting examples from other jurisdictions and encouraging healthcare stakeholders to advocate for a better system. The paper provides specific suggestions for getting involved, such as including diverse voices in the conversation, engaging with policy and decision-makers, becoming advocates within organizations, and promoting health data literacy.

This session will involve a panel discussion with several members of PMG, representing patients, industry, public sector and the scientific community.
