An interview exploring a perspective on the current state of health information in British Columbia. 

Learn about how British Columbia’s health information professionals have overcome challenges unique to their province, how its landscape has changed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and what the immediate and longer term future may hold.

Pat Visosky has been the coordinator of the health information management program at Douglas College since 2016. Prior to that, Pat was faculty of the bachelor program in HIM at the Higher Colleges of Technology in the United Arab Emirates for 17 years. Pat is a certified HIM professional and has a keen interest in health informatics. Over the years, she has obtained her master’s of science in health informatics and recently completed doctoral studies in health research with a focus on health informatics curriculum.

Hannah Domnic is a recent graduate from Douglas College where she received her post baccalaureate diploma in health information management and has also received her CHIM certification with the Canadian College of Health Information Management. She has been a volunteer with the CHIMA British Columbia & Yukon Chapter for two years.
